26 Jan Five Steps to Wealth, Health, and Happiness for Entrepreneurs
Being an entrepreneur can be an enriching experience, but it can be challenging. When starting and running your own business, there are many things to consider, such as finances, marketing, and operations. But one of the most important aspects of being an entrepreneur is ensuring you also care for yourself mentally and physically. As independent entrepreneurs, we want the golden trifecta of wealth, health, and happiness. However, there is little point in achieving immense wealth if your health and happiness suffer. Beate Nimsky, owner and CEO of Nimsky GmbH, and founder of the Nimsky Academy shares five steps for entrepreneurs to achieve wealth, health, and happiness.
Set Intentions and Find Your Path
Setting intentions is the first step to wealth, health, and happiness. As an entrepreneur, getting caught up in running a business’s everyday hustle and bustle is easy. But it’s essential to take a few moments each day or week to think about your goals and how you want to achieve them. Whether it’s setting financial goals, writing down what makes you feel successful, or simply making sure you are taking care of yourself physically and mentally, setting intentions will help guide you on your journey as an entrepreneur. “You can achieve anything if you allow yourself,” encourages Nimsky.
Therefore, it is important not to stick to what is considered achievable at the moment. Setting goals also means considering what person you want to be and become and what impact you want to make in the world through your contribution. The larger passion must drive you, not the subgoals.
Recognize Your Strengths
When running your own business, it’s essential to know your strengths. “You must own it before you can go and create success,” says Nimsky. Playing to your strengths ensures business success.
The first step to recognizing your strengths is understanding your values. What are the things that are most important to you? What do you believe in? Knowing your values makes it easier to identify the areas in which you excel.
Another great way to identify your strengths is by asking for feedback from those who know you well. You can then take that feedback to help narrow down your list of possible strengths.
Your past successes can also be a helpful indicator of where your strengths lie. Think about times when you’ve excelled in your personal and professional life. What were the circumstances surrounding those successes? What did you do that helped contribute to those positive results?
Taking a personality test is another way to help you recognize your strengths. Taking one of these tests can help you understand more about yourself and how you interact with others. Once you know your weaknesses, you can start working on shoring them up so that they don’t hold you back from achieving even greater business success.
Use Your Diamond Mine

Your network is your diamond mine when it comes to business. Nimsky says, “To build your network, you can take advantage of universal laws, such as Fibonacci and Dunbar…” Start by writing down the names of at least 150 people you know. The aim here is to get everyone on the list into your close network rather than to identify who you would like to spend time with in a professional manner. Who would you like to build a business with? Who would you like to have on your team? Who would you value as a referral partner? Surrounding yourself with people you respect, can have fun with, and do business with is where the magic happens. “It’s about having a lot of fun in what you do,” says Nimsky.
Create Healthy Habits
When running a business, skipping meals or not getting enough sleep to finish projects or meet deadlines can be tempting. But creating healthy habits such as eating nutritious meals and getting enough sleep each night will ensure your body and mind have the energy they need to tackle all the tasks an entrepreneur has on their plate.
Since self-employment requires a high degree of flexibility and an overview of many different areas, it can also be very helpful to engage in meditation, energy work, and mental relaxation techniques to keep creativity and stamina at a high level. “My personal practice varies between these different techniques daily and takes only 15 to 30 minutes. This time commitment pays for itself many times over,” says Nimsky.
Find Joy
As an entrepreneur, you have the unique opportunity to be 100% in charge of your creative vision. Whether designing a new product, developing a marketing campaign, or coming up with a clever solution to a problem, there’s no limit to what you can dream up. So much joy can be found in the creative process.
It is also important to make time for what matters most. Whether playing an instrument or walking in nature, taking time each day to do something that brings you joy will ensure your health, wealth, and happiness throughout your entrepreneurial journey.
Joy in choices, joy in doing, and joy in life develop strong inner gratitude and inner richness. Inner wealth attracts outer wealth. “As inside, so outside.” This is the credo of Nimsky.
By following these five steps, entrepreneurs can build a sustainable foundation for wealth, health, and happiness.
